Breakfast is exceptional at the Worthington House Inn. Rebecca’s famous French toast is one of the most requested specialties. The Sister’s prepare fresh dishes every morning of the week for you to enjoy. REBECCA'S FAMOUS FRENCH TOAST
3 loaves of French bread cut into 1 1/2-inch slices
12 eggs
6 cups milk
3 teaspoons fresh ground cinnamon
12 tablespoons pure Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla
3 tablespoons of sugar
Several ounces of Love

Topping: Brown Sugar, Butter, Old Fashioned Oatmeal, Cinnamon, Pecans

Mix eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla and sugar. Cut bread into slices. Dip bread slices in egg mixture place in baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Wrap pans with plastic wrap and freeze overnight. (at least 8 hours).

Make topping by mixing the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon together.
Add oatmeal and chopped pecans.

Start with 1/4 c butter and 1/4 c brown sugar and 1/4 c oatmeal per loaf. Adjust to your own tastes.

Bake French toast in preheated oven at 450 degrees for 20 minutes or until brown on the bottom. Remove from oven flip over toast add topping and bake additional 15-20 minutes.

Makes about 12 servings.
